The 6th annual meeting "Baltic Sea region: from planning to common actions", St. Petersburg
The 6th annual meeting "Baltic Sea region: from planning to common actions", aimed at discussion of current issues of interstate and interregional socio-economic partnership in this territory, takes place on 29 May 2017 in Saint-Petersburg.
The event will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and with the participation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
The conference is intended to propel to the next level of cooperation, leading to the formation and realization of the common strategies in the Baltic Sea region. Formation of these strategies is still rather far from the realization of its potential. There are still required implication, acceptance of responsibility, improvement of managerial efficiency and resource coordination. In 2017, the conference is dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the Council of the Baltic Sea States that is why the role of the CBSS is underscored as a center for dialogue, its priorities and capabilities to take part in the initiatives of strategic planning.
